Tiger Pictures
The tiger is a frightening creature. Larger than a human in scale, we nonetheless overlook its ferocity because it looks like a blown-up version of the common housecat. A housecat with Tyrannosaurus Rex claws and teeth, but similar nevertheless. It is perhaps this familiarity with its facial features that makes it soothing and makes children think that a tiger surely looks furry and cuddly, when in fact only highly capable trainers are able to handle their kind. My personal tiger, Paws, was a poster that I got from the famed Ranger Rick magazines. He presided over my closet for some time and became a mascot of sorts. In the absence of any real pets, I looked to him for solace from the outer world. And he obliged with his large comforting paws (that could rip me to shreds in the wild) and his calm smile (which could reveal teeth to shatter my bones with the slightest bite). Nonetheless, it is a powerful and yet soothing creature that we all seem to adore. I believe that this collection of tiger pictures will provide just that...a human touch to the tiger as well as a sense of how powerful they are in all actuality.
